Six years ago today…
April 6, 2016
gagengirl.com turns six today. It looks a lot different than it did when I first launched. Initially, it was not much more than a welcome page with a countdown to the first installment of Mad Dog Chronicles. Over the years, I added new stories, an author’s blog, and pages of pictures.
New photo pages will be coming soon. I’m still trying to get the new website up and running. Last year was crazy good and crazy bad at the same time.
At the beginning of last year, I posted the final installments of Mad Dog Chronicles - the Sequels. And then I began editing. I spent the year editing and released five eBooks for sale on iTunes and Amazon. I was too busy to do any writing until October. I wrote a pilot episode based on an idea I’d been kicking around for a few years.
I fell down my stairs while decorating for the holidays, ending the year on a low note. And then my computer crashed, taking my old website and the software I used to create it with it. I did enjoy the holidays with my family, but I had a gray cloud over my head.
I started this year with surgery on my left wrist, keeping me off schedule just a little longer. But I think everything is finally starting back in the right direction.
With a new computer, I wrote another pilot episode. This one was based on an idea I’ve had since college. Then, I started writing the final three adventures in Adventures in St. Augustine.
And now I’ve got a new website to share my stories. And I have big plans for this year. What kind of plans?
I’ve got one eBook release planned for this summer. And I have a new online story scheduled to debut this summer. And I will be working on my releases for next year - the Mad Dog Chronicles Kerry Page spinoff and the Mad Dog Chronicles Donna Bauer-Donnelly spinoff.
It looks to be a busy year. And it looks fun.
